A Poem: When We are Apart

Hi everyone! I decided to write a quick poem. It's sort of a love poem, but it can also be for two good friends. I call it "When We are Apart". 

The beating of my heart is hard and pure,

The blank slate of my mind is a bright azure.

But no matter how hard I try,

I can never ignore,

How sparks fly when I see you,

And shivers run to my core.

Your face lights up my world,

Your steps shake up my soul,

And your tears are my rain,

Whenever we are apart.

The elements of your heart,

Govern my little world,

And we shall not be apart for long,

For the sun is rising to heal your tears,

And defeat our eternal sadness.
